Types of protection orders

  1. Unlawful Harassment.
  2. Domestic violence.
  3. Protection against abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults – It could also be financial, it could have to do with keeping someone physically restrained.
  4. Protection orders against stalking – Stalking is similar to harassment but it is more severe in nature.
  5. Sexual assault protection order/ a no-contact order – If you are the victim of a sexual assault, you can seek an order that keeps the other person from contacting you.
  6. Extreme risk protection order – It has to do with limiting someone’s access to firearms or weapons.
