Jennifer’s legal career has been marked by her dedication to family law. As a family law attorney at Cowlitz Law Group, her primary areas of focus include Dissolution and Legal Separation, Child Support, Uniform Parentage Act, Minor Guardianship, and Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act cases. Her expertise in these areas has made her a trusted advocate for families in need.
Prior to joining Cowlitz Law Group, Jennifer worked at the Cowlitz County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, where she represented the State of Washington in various family law matters. Her responsibilities included reviewing cases, analyzing financial data, and drafting child support worksheets, all while maintaining a strong focus on Child Support, Uniform Parentage Act, and Domestic Relations Law.
Jennifer’s commitment to diversity is exemplified by her appointment to the WSBA Diversity Committee in 2017-2018. During her tenure, she worked diligently to promote inclusivity and equal representation within the legal profession, contributing to a more equitable legal landscape in Washington State.
In addition to her work with the WSBA Diversity Committee, Jennifer has been an active member of the National LGBT Bar Association, where she has demonstrated her support for LGBTQ+ rights and legal advocacy. Her involvement with this organization reflects her dedication to fighting for justice and equality for all.
During her time at Gonzaga University School of Law, Jennifer served as the Vice President and Treasurer of the Native American Law Student Association, showcasing her commitment to Indigenous rights and issues. She also played a vital role in the Student Bar Association Diversity Committee, furthering her dedication to fostering an inclusive legal community.
As a board member of the Gender and Sexuality (GSA) Alliance, Jennifer has actively worked to create a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals within the legal field and beyond. Her leadership in this role demonstrates her unwavering support for marginalized communities.
Jennifer’s legal career has also encompassed her role as a Prosecuting Attorney, where she handled all aspects of municipal criminal cases.
